Product Overview
Clone FFD-7 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes trifunctional purine biosynthetic protein adenosine-3 (gene GART) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 107.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 107 kDa.
GART is a trifunctional enzyme that carries out three steps (steps 2, 3 and 5) of de novo purine synthesis leading to inosine monophosphate. Its formyltransferase activity uses a folate cofactor and is a target of antifolate drugs, so GART is studied in nucleotide metabolism and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human cervix cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human GART.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
