Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes endothelial transcription factor GATA-2 (gene GATA2) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 50.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 51 kDa.
GATA2 is a zinc-finger transcription factor that is essential for the formation and maintenance of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells. It also acts in endothelial and lymphatic cells. Germline GATA2 deficiency causes immunodeficiency and a predisposition to myelodysplasia and leukemia, so it is studied in hematology and vascular biology.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 5 µg/mL (Human) |
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HEL cells, human SH-SY5Y cells, human K562 cells, human SIHA cells, rat heart tissue, mouse heart tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 10% SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A431 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HL-60 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human GATA2 fragment (Asp23–Ser288), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places endothelial transcription factor GATA-2 in the nucleus. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Endothelial cells. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
