Product Overview
Clone 17G88 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes transcription factor GATA-6 (gene GATA6) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 60.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 60 kDa.
GATA6 is a zinc-finger transcription factor needed for development of the heart, lung, pancreas and gut, and for formation of the early embryonic endoderm. It regulates genes such as SEMA3C and PLXNA2 during outflow tract development. Mutations in GATA6 are linked to congenital heart defects and pancreatic agenesis.
