Product Overview
Clone 25G96 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes guanylate cyclase soluble subunit alpha-1 (gene GUCY1A1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 77.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 73 kDa.
Soluble guanylate cyclase alpha-1 (GUCY1A1) is the alpha subunit of soluble guanylate cyclase (sGC), the main intracellular receptor for nitric oxide (NO). Paired with a beta subunit that carries the NO-binding heme, it converts GTP into the second messenger cGMP. The sGC–cGMP pathway controls vascular smooth muscle relaxation and platelet function and is studied in cardiovascular research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human fetal kidney.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human GCYA3.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places guanylate cyclase soluble subunit alpha-1 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Detected in brain cortex and lung (at protein level). The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
