Product Overview
Clone 21G37 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes growth/differentiation factor 3 (gene GDF3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 41.4 kDa; the supplier reports observed bands at 16, 41 kDa.
GDF3 is a TGF-β superfamily growth factor expressed in pluripotent cells, the early embryo and adipose tissue. It signals through activin receptors together with the coreceptor CRIPTO and helps pattern the early embryo. In adults it has been linked to fat tissue homeostasis and energy balance.
