Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 18 (gene Tnfrsf18) in mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 25.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 30–35 kDa.
GITR (TNFRSF18) is a costimulatory receptor expressed at high levels on regulatory T cells and upregulated on activated effector T cells. Binding of its ligand GITRL activates NF-κB through TRAF2 and NIK and can enhance effector T-cell responses. GITR is studied in T-cell costimulation, regulatory T-cell biology and cancer immunotherapy research.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat thymus tissue, rat skeletal muscle tissue, mouse skeletal muscle tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 50 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant mouse GITR/Tnfrsf18 fragment (Asn41–Thr155), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse and rat. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (mouse): Preferentially expressed in activated T lymphocytes. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
