Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes G kinase-anchoring protein 1 (gene GKAP1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ELISA.
G kinase-anchoring protein 1 (GKAP1) was first described as a binding partner of cGMP-dependent protein kinase in the testis. In adipocytes it associates with IRS1 and supports insulin-driven IRS1 tyrosine phosphorylation and GLUT4 movement to the cell surface, linking it to insulin signaling research.

Recombinant human GKAP1 fragment (Glu69–Arg366), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 87.2% and 89.6%, respectively.

The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places G kinase-anchoring protein 1 in the Golgi apparatus.
