Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects transcription activator GLI1 in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA.
GLI1 is a zinc finger transcription factor that acts as an activator at the end of the Hedgehog signaling pathway. When Hedgehog ligands relieve Smoothened inhibition, GLI1 enters the nucleus and switches on target genes, including itself, so it is widely used as a readout of Hedgehog pathway activity in development and cancer research.
