Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets glutaredoxin-3 (gene GLRX3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Glutaredoxin-3 (GLRX3, also called PICOT or TXNL2) is a cytosolic protein that, with BOLA2, helps deliver [2Fe-2S] clusters to iron-sulfur proteins. It lacks classic thioredoxin activity, is needed for hemoglobin maturation and has been linked to control of cardiac hypertrophy.

Recombinant human GLRX3 fragment (Lys31–Val307), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 94.6% and 94.9%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places glutaredoxin-3 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in heart, spleen, testis and, to a lower extent, in thymus and peripheral blood leukocytes.
