Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes golgin subfamily A member 2 (gene GOLGA2) in human samples and is validated for ELISA, flow cytometry, ICC/IF, IHC, immunoprecipitation and Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 113.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 130 kDa.
GM130 (GOLGA2) is a cis-Golgi golgin that helps hold Golgi cisternae in stacks and tethers incoming vesicles, working with p115 and syntaxin-5. It is phosphorylated during mitosis to allow Golgi disassembly and is widely used as a cis-Golgi marker in cell biology.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HEK293 cells, human Jurkat cells, human HeLa cells, human U87 cells, human PC-3 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human oesophagus squama cancer tissue, human placenta tissue, human tonsil tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in citrate buffer (pH 6).
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human placenta tissue.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): PC-3 cells, U2OS cells.
Samples with a confirmed result (IP): HepG2 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human GM130 fragment (Glu796–Glu913), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places golgin subfamily A member 2 in the cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
