Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets golgin subfamily A member 7 (gene GOLGA7) in human samples and is validated for IHC and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 15.8 kDa.
GOLGA7 (GCP16) is a small Golgi-associated protein that partners with the palmitoyltransferase ZDHHC9. The ZDHHC9–GOLGA7 complex adds palmitate to HRAS and NRAS, which is needed for their membrane targeting, linking GOLGA7 to Ras trafficking and Golgi-to-surface transport.

Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human breast cancer tissue, human liver cancer tissue, human lung cancer tissue, human rectum adenocarcinoma tissue, human skin cancer tissue, human urothelial carcinoma tissue, human ovarian cancer tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
Conditions in the example images (IHC): heat-mediated antigen retrieval in EDTA buffer (pH 8.0).
Immunogen
Recombinant human GOLGA7 fragment (Arg2–Arg131), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse and rat orthologs: 100% and 99.2%, respectively.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places golgin subfamily A member 7 in the Golgi apparatus membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in all tissues except colon and thymus.
