Product Overview

This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes granzyme A (gene GZMA) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 29.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 29 kDa.

Granzyme A (GZMA) is a serine protease stored in the granules of cytotoxic T cells and natural killer cells and delivered into target cells through perforin. It cleaves after lysine or arginine residues and triggers caspase-independent cell death, including cleavage of gasdermin B to cause pyroptosis. GZMA is studied in cytotoxic lymphocyte biology and anti-tumor immunity.

Immunogen

Recombinant human Granzyme A/GZMA fragment (Asn73–Asn252), expressed in E. coli.

Reactivity Notes

The supplier lists reactivity with human. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.

Safety

Handling: the formulation contains sodium azide as a preservative. Wear gloves, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and dispose of waste according to local regulations. For research use only; not for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
