Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects GRIP1-associated protein 1 (gene GRIPAP1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 96.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 96 kDa.
GRASP-1 (GRIPAP1) is a neuronal protein that binds the AMPA receptor scaffold GRIP1 and helps sort recycling endosomes in dendrites. By steering endosomal recycling toward dendritic spines, it supports activity-driven return of AMPA receptors to the surface, spine structure and long-term potentiation, making it of interest in studies of synaptic plasticity.

| Western blot | 0.1–0.25 µg/mL (Human, Mouse, Rat) |
|---|---|
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, huamn HepG2 cells, human RT4 cells, human MCF-7 cells, human SiHa cells, human T-47D cells, rat brain tissue, rat panceras tissue, rat testis tissue, rat PC-12 cells, mouse brain tissue, mouse pancreas tissue, mouse NIH/3T3 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.25 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HepG2 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human GRASP1/GRIPAP1 fragment (Arg42–Ser841), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places GRIP1-associated protein 1 in the early endosome membrane, recycling endosome membrane, cell projection and synapse. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
