Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets growth factor receptor-bound protein 2 (gene GRB2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 25.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 25 kDa.
GRB2 is a small adaptor protein built from one SH2 and two SH3 domains. It binds phosphotyrosine sites on activated receptors such as EGFR and on adaptors like LAT, and brings SOS to the membrane to activate Ras–MAPK signaling, making it a core component of growth factor and immune receptor pathways.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human 293T cells, human THP-1 cells, human HL-60 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): PC-3 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human GRB2 fragment (Met1–Val217), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places growth factor receptor-bound protein 2 in the nucleus, cytoplasm, endosome and Golgi apparatus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
