Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects G protein-coupled receptor kinase 3 (gene GRK3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 79.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 80 kDa.
GRK3 (also called βARK2 or ADRBK2) is a G protein-coupled receptor kinase closely related to GRK2. It phosphorylates activated receptors, including adrenergic and complement anaphylatoxin receptors, so that β-arrestins can bind and switch off signaling. Researchers study GRK3 in receptor desensitization, olfactory and neuronal signaling, and immune cell responses.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HL-60 cells, rat brain tissue, rat lung tissue, mouse brain tissue, mouse lung tissue.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Recombinant human GRK3 fragment (Arg591–Leu688), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places G protein-coupled receptor kinase 3 in the postsynapse and presynapse. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
