Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects somatotropin (gene Gh1) in mouse samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 24.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 22 kDa.
Growth hormone (GH1, somatotropin) is a pituitary hormone that acts through the growth hormone receptor and JAK2–STAT5 signaling. It drives body growth largely by stimulating IGF-1 production in the liver and other tissues, and it also affects protein, fat and glucose metabolism. GH is studied across human, mouse and rat models of growth and metabolism.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with mouse. UniProt describes somatotropin as a secreted protein. A carrier-free (BSA-free) format can be requested; specify it in the order note.
