Product Overview
Clone 18G35 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes glycogen synthase kinase-3 alpha (gene GSK3A) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 51.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 51 kDa.
Glycogen synthase kinase-3 alpha (GSK3A) is a constitutively active serine/threonine kinase that is switched off by upstream signals such as insulin-activated AKT. It phosphorylates and inhibits glycogen synthase and targets β-catenin and other substrates in the Wnt pathway. Together with its paralog GSK3B, it is studied in glucose metabolism, Wnt signaling and neuronal function.
