Product Overview
Clone 22G11 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes glutathione S-transferase Mu 1 (gene GSTM1) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 25.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 26 kDa.
Glutathione S-transferase Mu 1 (GSTM1) is a mu-class GST that conjugates glutathione to electrophilic carcinogens, drugs and products of oxidative stress. A common deletion polymorphism leaves many people without GSTM1 activity, so it is widely studied in pharmacogenetics, xenobiotic metabolism and susceptibility to environmental toxins.
