Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets GTPase HRas in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 21.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 21 kDa.
HRAS is one of the three classic Ras small GTPases. It cycles between an active GTP-bound and an inactive GDP-bound state and passes signals from growth factor receptors to the RAF-MEK-ERK and PI3K pathways that control proliferation and survival. Activating HRAS mutations occur in some tumors and cause Costello syndrome.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places GTPase HRas in the cell membrane, Golgi apparatus and Golgi apparatus membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Widely expressed. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
