Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes testis-specific H1 histone (gene H1-7) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA.
Testis-specific H1 histone (H1-7, also called HANP1 or H1T2) is a linker histone expressed in developing male germ cells. It is needed during spermiogenesis for chromatin condensation, nuclear reshaping and the replacement of histones by protamines, and its loss impairs male fertility in mice. It is studied in sperm chromatin remodeling and male infertility.
