Product Overview
Clone 27H95 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes histidine--tRNA ligase, cytoplasmic (gene HARS1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 57.4 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 50 kDa.
Histidyl-tRNA synthetase (HARS1) is the cytoplasmic enzyme that attaches histidine to its matching tRNA in an ATP-dependent reaction, a key step in protein synthesis. It is also the target of anti-Jo-1 autoantibodies in antisynthetase syndrome, and HARS1 mutations are linked to inherited peripheral neuropathy. It is studied in translation and autoimmunity.
