Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets histone deacetylase 7 (gene HDAC7) in human and rat samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 102.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 103 kDa.
Histone deacetylase 7 (HDAC7) is a class IIa deacetylase that represses MEF2-dependent gene expression and moves between the nucleus and cytoplasm depending on its phosphorylation. It is important in endothelial cells for vascular integrity and in thymocytes during T-cell development. HDAC7 is studied in angiogenesis, immune development and gene repression.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): rat spleen tissue, rat thymus tissue, human placenta tissue, HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and rat. UniProt places histone deacetylase 7 in the nucleus and cytoplasm. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
