Product Overview
Clone AOEG-23 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes WAP four-disulfide core domain protein 2 (gene WFDC2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 13.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 19 kDa.
WFDC2, better known as HE4 (human epididymis protein 4), is a small secreted protein carrying WAP four-disulfide core domains of the type found in protease inhibitors. It is expressed in epithelia of the reproductive tract and airways, animal studies show it is needed for normal lung and airway epithelial development, and serum HE4 is widely measured in ovarian cancer research.
