Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects ATP-dependent RNA helicase with zinc finger domain (gene HELZ) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 219.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 200 kDa.
HELZ is a large RNA helicase with a zinc finger domain that associates with the CCR4–NOT deadenylase complex. It promotes deadenylation, decapping and decay of target mRNAs and can also repress translation. HELZ is studied in post-transcriptional gene regulation and cell proliferation.

Validated Applications
| Western blot | 0.25–0.5 µg/mL (Human) |
|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 5 µg/mL (Human) |
| Flow cytometry (fixed cells) | 1–3 µg/1×106 cells (Human) |
| ELISA | 0.1–0.5 µg/mL |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human HeLa cells, human MCF-7 cells, human HEL cells, human K562 cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with confirmed staining (ICC/IF): A549 cells.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): HeLa cells, MCF-7 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human HELZ fragment (Arg81–Gln743), expressed in E. coli. Sequence identity with the mouse ortholog: 95.6%.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places ATP-dependent RNA helicase with zinc finger domain in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed predominantly in thymus and brain. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
