Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects protein Vpr in hiv-1 samples.
Vpr is an HIV-1 accessory protein that is packaged into virions. It binds the host adaptor DCAF1 and hijacks the CUL4–DDB1 ubiquitin ligase to degrade selected host proteins, including UNG2, and it arrests infected cells in the G2 phase of the cell cycle. Vpr is studied in HIV–host interactions.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with hiv-1. UniProt places protein Vpr in the virion, host nucleus and host extracellular space.
