Product Overview
Clone 23H92 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes HLA class I histocompatibility antigen, B alpha chain (gene HLA-B) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and IHC. The predicted molecular weight is 40.5 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 40 kDa.
HLA-B is a classical MHC class I heavy chain. Together with β2-microglobulin it presents short peptides, mostly from viral or tumor proteins made inside the cell, to CD8+ cytotoxic T cells. HLA-B is highly polymorphic, and specific alleles such as B7 are studied in transplantation, infection and immune-mediated drug reactions.
