Product Overview
Clone 26H61 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes HLA class II histocompatibility antigen, DR beta 4 chain (gene HLA-DRB4) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 29.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 30 kDa.
HLA-DRB4 encodes a secondary HLA-DR β chain (the DR53 group) present only on certain HLA haplotypes. It pairs with HLA-DRA to form an additional class II molecule that presents peptides to CD4+ T cells, and it is considered in HLA typing and immunogenetic studies.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places HLA class II histocompatibility antigen, DR beta 4 chain in the cell membrane, endoplasmic reticulum membrane, endosome membrane and lysosome membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
