Product Overview
Clone 28H64 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes high mobility group protein B3 (gene HMGB3) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 23.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 23 kDa.
HMGB3 is an HMG-box chromatin protein that binds DNA with a preference for non-standard structures and can bend it. It is expressed mainly in hematopoietic and embryonic tissues, where it helps balance stem cell self-renewal and differentiation, and it is studied in hematopoiesis and cancer.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human HMG4.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human and mouse. UniProt places high mobility group protein B3 in the nucleus, chromosome and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed predominantly in placenta. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
