Product Overview
Clone GBA-8 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes hepatocyte nuclear factor 4-alpha (gene HNF4A) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 52.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 53 kDa.
HNF-4α (HNF4A) is a nuclear receptor transcription factor that is a master regulator of gene expression in liver, intestine, kidney and pancreatic islets. It controls genes for lipid, glucose and drug metabolism and helps establish liver identity during development. HNF4A mutations cause MODY1, and the protein is a standard hepatocyte and intestinal marker.

Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Samples with confirmed staining (IHC): human kidney tissue.
Recommended antigen retrieval: heat-mediated, in TE buffer (pH 9.0); citrate buffer (pH 6.0) can be used instead.
