Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets homeobox protein MSX-2 (gene MSX2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 28.9 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 37 kDa.
MSX2 is a homeodomain transcription factor that regulates skull and bone development. It controls osteoblast differentiation, in part by repressing alkaline phosphatase (ALPL) expression, and mutations in MSX2 cause craniosynostosis or enlarged parietal foramina.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human RT4 cells, human MCF-7 cells, human T-47D cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): PC-3 cells, RT4 cells.

Recombinant human Hox8/MSX2 fragment (Met1–Met129), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places homeobox protein MSX-2 in the nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
