Product Overview
Clone 25H74 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes homeobox protein Hox-A9 (gene HOXA9) in human samples and is validated for Western blot. The predicted molecular weight is 30.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 35 kDa.
HOXA9 is a homeobox transcription factor that, like other HOX proteins, helps set positional identity in the embryo. In adults it is highly expressed in hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, where it supports self-renewal. Its overexpression, often with MEIS1, is a hallmark of MLL-rearranged and other acute leukemias, and it also regulates endothelial genes.
