Product Overview
Clone 24H37 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes histamine H3 receptor (gene HRH3) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 48.7 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 45 kDa.
The histamine H3 receptor (HRH3) is a G protein-coupled receptor found mainly in the nervous system. Coupled to Gi/o, it acts as a presynaptic autoreceptor that limits histamine release and as a heteroreceptor that dampens release of other neurotransmitters. It shows high constitutive activity and is studied as a target in sleep, cognition and neurological research.

|---|---|
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 1:50–1:200 |
| Flow cytometry | 1:100 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human SH-SY5Y cells, human MCF-7 cells, rat brain tissue, rat C6 cells, mouse brain tissue, mouse Neuro-2a cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 1:500 overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:500, ECL detection.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human HRH3.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human, mouse and rat. UniProt places histamine H3 receptor in the cell membrane. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed predominantly in the CNS, with the greatest expression in the thalamus and caudate nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
