Product Overview
Clone 18S34 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes hsc70-interacting protein (gene ST13) in human and mouse samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 41.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 55 kDa.
Hsc70-interacting protein (HIP, encoded by ST13) is a co-chaperone that binds the ATPase domain of HSC70/HSP70. By stabilizing the ADP-bound state, which holds client proteins tightly, it helps the chaperone retain substrates during protein folding, and it is studied in protein quality control and stress responses.
