Product Overview
Clone 21H83 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes heat shock factor protein 2 (gene HSF2) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, ICC/IF and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 60.3 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 60 kDa.
Heat shock factor 2 (HSF2) is a member of the heat shock factor family that binds heat shock elements in DNA. It is less responsive to heat than HSF1 but can partner with it, and it has roles in development, particularly in brain and spermatogenesis.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human HSF2.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places heat shock factor protein 2 in the cytoplasm and nucleus. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
