Product Overview
Clone IAD-8 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes heat shock protein beta-6 (gene HSPB6) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and flow cytometry. The predicted molecular weight is 17.1 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 17 kDa.
HSP20 (HSPB6) is a small heat shock protein abundant in smooth, cardiac and skeletal muscle. When phosphorylated by cAMP- and cGMP-dependent kinases it promotes smooth muscle relaxation, and in the heart it has protective effects against stress, so it is studied in vascular and cardiac physiology.
