Product Overview
Clone IAP-9 is a mouse monoclonal antibody that recognizes heat shock protein beta-1 (gene Hspb1) in human, mouse, rabbit and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF.
HSP27 (HSPB1) is a small heat shock protein that forms large oligomers and binds unfolding proteins to prevent their aggregation. Its phosphorylation by p38 MAPK-activated kinases regulates its assembly and roles in actin organization and resistance to apoptosis, and it is a common marker of cellular stress. HSPB1 mutations cause inherited peripheral neuropathy.
