Product Overview
Clone BDD-8 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes heat shock 70 kDa protein 12A (gene HSPA12A) in human, mouse and rat samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC, ICC/IF and immunoprecipitation. The predicted molecular weight is 75.0 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 75 kDa.
HSPA12A is a distant member of the HSP70 family expressed mainly in brain and endothelium. It acts as an adaptor for the sorting receptor SORL1, delaying its internalization and affecting where it resides in the cell, but its broader functions are not fully characterized.
