Product Overview
Antibody BU75 recognizes epitope 2 of the CD44 molecule which interacts with hyaluronate (HA)mediating binding of lymphocytes to high endothelial venules (2, 3). This epitope appears to be conformation dependant (4).
Human CD44 molecules appear to serve as lymphocyte adhesion molecules with numerous functions in extracellular matrix binding, cell migration, hemopoisis, and lymphocyte homing (1).

Functional Activity
Antibody BU75 blocks binding of HA to CD44 (2,7, 9), Induces FasL expression in T cells (6), and inhibits DNA sythesis and IL2R expression in activated T cells (5).

Please refer to the storage conditions on the product label and datasheet. As a general best practice: upon receipt, aliquot into single-use volumes to minimize freeze-thaw cycling, which can progressively reduce antibody performance and lead to aggregation.
