Product Overview
Antibody BU69 recognizes the CD70 molecule of approximately 30 kd (3).
Human CD70 is not present on resting lymphocytes. CD70 is expressed after activation on about 20% of T cells and on about 70% of B cells. CD70 is a ligand for CD27 and it is also a member of the tumor necrosis factor gene family (3).

Functional Activity
Antibody BU69 blocks the interaction between CD27 and CD70, and has been shown to inhibit T cell proliferation induced by dendritic cells(5).

This antibody has been validated for FC, EIA, ICC, IHC. Always refer to the product datasheet for recommended dilution ranges and appropriate positive control samples for each application type.
Validated reactivity has been confirmed for Human, Primate. Cross-reactivity with additional species may exist based on sequence homology but has not been confirmed by the manufacturer. For unlisted species, we recommend running a preliminary validation experiment.
This antibody was raised in Mouse. For indirect detection (WB, IHC, IF), select an anti-Mouse secondary antibody that matches the isotype. For direct detection, check the variant selector for conjugated formats. Confirm secondary antibody compatibility before ordering.

Please refer to the storage conditions on the product label and datasheet. As a general best practice: upon receipt, aliquot into single-use volumes to minimize freeze-thaw cycling, which can progressively reduce antibody performance and lead to aggregation.
Validated reactivity covers Human, Primate samples. Performance can vary across different cell lines and tissue types depending on target antigen expression levels and epitope accessibility. We recommend verifying target expression in your specific model system using a known positive control before proceeding to experimental samples.
