Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets cyclin-dependent kinase 9 (gene CDK9) in human samples. The predicted molecular weight is 42.8 kDa.
CDK9 pairs with cyclin T to form the kinase P-TEFb (positive transcription elongation factor b). It phosphorylates RNA polymerase II and negative elongation factors to release paused polymerase into productive elongation, making it a key regulator of transcription and a target in cancer and HIV transcription research.
