Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes centromere protein S (gene CENPS) in human samples. The predicted molecular weight is 15.9 kDa.
CENP-S (also called MHF1) is a small histone-fold protein that works with CENP-X both at centromeres and in DNA repair. As a DNA-binding partner of the Fanconi anemia core complex, it supports activation of the FANCD2-FANCI pathway and cellular resistance to DNA cross-links.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places centromere protein S in the nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed.
