Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets centromere protein U (gene CENPU) in human samples. The predicted molecular weight is 47.5 kDa.
CENP-U (also called MLF1IP or PBIP1) is a component of the constitutive centromere-associated network at kinetochores. It is needed for proper kinetochore function and chromosome segregation during mitosis and is studied in cell division and proliferating cells.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places centromere protein U in the cytoplasm, nucleus and chromosome. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed at high levels in the testis, fetal liver, thymus, bone marrow and at lower levels in the lymph nodes, placenta, colon and spleen.
