Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects triplex capsid protein 2 (gene TRX2) in human herpesvirus 4 samples.
In Epstein-Barr virus, triplex capsid protein 2 (TRX2, encoded by BDLF1) is a structural component of the icosahedral capsid. Two copies of TRX2 combine with one TRX1 to form triplexes that link the pentameric and hexameric capsomers, making it part of the basic architecture of the herpesvirus capsid.
