Product Overview
Clone 19I96 is a rabbit monoclonal antibody that recognizes immunoglobulin kappa constant (gene IGKC) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, IHC and ICC/IF. The predicted molecular weight is 11.8 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 26 kDa.
IGKC encodes the constant region of the immunoglobulin kappa light chain. Kappa light chains pair with heavy chains to form antibodies of all classes, and in humans the majority of antibodies carry kappa rather than lambda light chains, so kappa detection is widely used to study B cells and plasma cells.

| Immunohistochemistry | 1:50–1:200 |
| Immunocytochemistry / Immunofluorescence | 1:50–1:200 |
Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human fetal spleen.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Immunogen
Synthetic peptide based on the sequence of human human Kappa Chain.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt describes immunoglobulin kappa constant as secreted and also located in the cell membrane. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
