Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody detects mitotic spindle assembly checkpoint protein MAD1 (gene MAD1L1) in human samples. The predicted molecular weight is 83.1 kDa.
MAD1 (MAD1L1) is a core component of the spindle assembly checkpoint that localizes to unattached kinetochores. Bound to closed MAD2, it acts as a template that converts free MAD2 into its active form, helping generate the mitotic checkpoint complex that delays anaphase until every chromosome is properly attached, so it is studied in chromosome segregation and aneuploidy.

Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places mitotic spindle assembly checkpoint protein MAD1 in the nucleus, chromosome, nucleus envelope and cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Expressed in hepatocellular carcinomas and hepatoma cell lines (at protein level)...
