Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets histone-arginine methyltransferase METTL23 in human and mouse samples. The predicted molecular weight is 21.5 kDa.
METTL23 is a methyltransferase that produces asymmetric dimethylation of histone H3 at arginine 17 (H3R17me2a). In the early mouse embryo, it acts as a maternal factor that helps reprogram the paternal genome, supporting DNA demethylation in the male pronucleus. Mutations in METTL23 are associated with intellectual disability, and it is studied in chromatin regulation.
