Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes myogenic factor 5 (gene MYF5) in human samples. The predicted molecular weight is 28.3 kDa.
Myf5 (myogenic factor 5) is a bHLH transcription factor of the MyoD family. It is one of the earliest determinants of skeletal muscle lineage, marking muscle progenitors and quiescent satellite cells and activating muscle-specific genes together with MyoD and myogenin. It is widely used as a marker in myogenesis and muscle regeneration studies.
