Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes SKA complex subunit 1 (gene SKA1) in human samples. The predicted molecular weight is 29.5 kDa.
SKA1 is a subunit of the SKA complex, which joins the NDC80 complex at the outer kinetochore. By binding the ends of depolymerizing spindle microtubules, the SKA complex stabilizes kinetochore–microtubule attachments, helps chromosomes align at metaphase and supports timely silencing of the spindle assembly checkpoint.
