Product Overview
This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes immunoglobulin-binding protein 1 (gene IGBP1) in human samples and is validated for Western blot, flow cytometry and ELISA. The predicted molecular weight is 39.2 kDa, and the supplier reports an observed band at about 45 kDa.
IGBP1 (also called alpha4) was first found associated with the B-cell antigen receptor. It binds the catalytic subunits of the phosphatases PP2A, PP4 and PP6 and protects them from degradation until they join their regulatory partners, thereby influencing phosphatase activity and cell signaling.

Samples with a confirmed band (WB): human A549 cells, human HeLa cells.
Recommended loading (WB): 20–40 µg of total protein per lane.
Conditions in the example images (WB): 5–20% gradient SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions, 30 µg lysate per lane, transfer to nitrocellulose membrane, blocking in 5% non-fat milk, primary antibody at 0.5 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C, HRP-conjugated secondary antibody at 1:5000, ECL detection.
Samples with a confirmed signal (flow cytometry): PC-3 cells.
Immunogen
Recombinant human IGBP1 fragment (Asp47–Ile208), expressed in E. coli.
Reactivity Notes
The supplier lists reactivity with human. UniProt places immunoglobulin-binding protein 1 in the cytoplasm. Tissue expression noted by UniProt (human): Ubiquitously expressed with highest levels in heart, skeletal muscle and pancreas. The samples tested by the supplier (listed above) are a practical starting point for positive controls.
