Product Overview

This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (gene IGF1R) in human samples and is validated for Western blot and ELISA.

The IGF-1 receptor (IGF1R) is a receptor tyrosine kinase that binds IGF-1 with high affinity and IGF-2 and insulin more weakly. Ligand binding triggers autophosphorylation and recruitment of adaptors such as IRS proteins and SHC, activating the PI3K-AKT and MAPK pathways that drive growth and survival, which makes IGF1R a focus of growth and cancer research.
